Leigh Cakes it was originally as just a husband and wife team. We soon had a fleet of small vans operating from our premises delivering cakes for birthdays, christenings, Weddings and many other special occasions as well as door to door and to local banqueting suites. We now employ over fifteen staff and serve hundreds of wholesale customers in the Southeast of England.
All of the cakes are baked using traditional methods in a purpose built facility in Leigh. This location also serves as a shop & showroom where customers may order and collect as well as being able to view their wedding cake before delivery.
Quality & Service
Our cakes are renowned for their fine quality and can be made to the customer’s exact specifications. Leigh Cakes guarantees not to be beaten on the quality of every cake and we pride ourselves on giving every customer a first class service. We understand each customer is an individual so if you don't see exactly what you want in our collection then feel free to design your own and we will gladly guide you through this process.
Shipping & Delivery
All cakes can be delivered free of charge within our specified area (Click here for a list of post codes we deliver to within Essex) - or use the Delivery checker. We deliver Tuesday to Friday between 7am & 2pm. Unfortunately, a specific time cannot be guaranteed. If you are not in and you have not phoned us to make alternative delivery arrangements, a charge of £20.00 will be applied for a return delivery.
Please ensure we have the full address including your full postal code (PO Box addresses are not acceptable for delivery) and a contact telephone number.
Online Discount and Promotions
The 10% online discount does not apply to Wedding Cakes for wedding cakes we offer an exclusive online offer of Free delivery and setup at your venue 7 days a week.
PLEASE BE ADVISED PROMOTIONS ARE FOR ONLINE ORDERS ONLY THEY DO NOT APPLY IF YOU PLACE THE ORDER OVER THE PHONE.
Collect from Store
What is the store collection service?
When you order your cake, you now have a choice of having your order delivered to you at home or work, (if within our delivery area) or you can collect it from a participating store.
Is there a charge for store collection?
No, this service is free of charge.
How soon can I collect my order?
When you place your order, you will be able to choose your collection day. We require delivery and collection 5 working days from the date of order
How can I choose store collection?
Delivery options will show at the checkout page, once you enter your postcode you will be able to select “Free Delivery” or a list of participating stores will be visible for you to choose from and they will show how many miles they are aware from the postcode you entered.
Please note:
If you place your order in a participating store or by phone, please tell the customer assistant that you would like to collect the order from a participating store.
Acceptance
All our cakes are handmade and therefore may differ slightly from the photos. Every cake leaves our premises in good condition and boxed in a heavy-duty cake box.
Should your cake not reach you in good condition, Leigh Cakes will make every effort to remedy any mistakes or damage or be prepared to discuss a refund. Once a cake has been accepted from our driver, the cake is the full responsibility of the customer.
Privacy & Security
At Leigh Cakes we promise to respect your privacy. Please be assured that we will never pass on your details to third party organisations and that your personal details are held securely and in strict confidence. We know that security is your top concern when buying online. We use the latest technology to ensure that all your personal and credit card details remain completely confidential. We DO NOT store any credit card details in anyway. When taking payment via phone, you details are inputted as you tell us, into a virtual terminal (PayPal pro) we do not hold/store your details in anyway.
Cancelation
Refunds are not possible if you choose to cancel your order within 4 days of your delivery/collection date of your cake. If you cancel your order at any other time, a 25% handling fee will be applied, although if you wish to change the date of the order we will no charge the handling fee.
Payment, Pricing & Promotions
Payment can be made by Paypal Pro, which is easy, fast and secure, more payment options will follow, in the near future, Our pricing is as competitive as possible, we aim to bring you the best value for money and the best quality products. We offer promotions throughout the year, including online discounts and more, so look out for these and take advantage of our great offers!
We accept PayPal Pro for online payment. All transactions are in pounds sterling (£). Payment of the price of an order must be received by us and cleared before despatch of your goods. Please note that Goods will not be despatched until payment is made in full.
